Casa Ladera is quietly situated on the edge of a 'Parque Naturale' in a picturesque valley surrounded by olive, almond and avocado groves. There are spectacular views of the Almijara mountains in all directions, making this the perfect place to relax and unwind.
The villa is located in extensive private grounds stretching down the hillside. The main garden area is fenced for safety and has been thoughtfully planned to provide a variety of paths and rockeries to enable you to enjoy the colours and aromas of typical mediteranean flowering plants.
Access to the villa is along 500 metres of partly concreted track which leads from the main mountain road which is well surfaced and maintained. The nearest bar/restaurant is a 5-10 minute walk away and has lovely views out to sea.
Further restaurants, a small supermarket, medical centre and banks can be found at the historic white village of Frigiliana, 3 miles away. Here among the winding streets you will also find interesting shops selling locally made produce and crafts as well as a popular weekly market.
5 miles from Frigiliana is the attractive coastal resort of Nerja with its many unspoilt sandy beaches, cosmopolitan pavement cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. Along its cobbled streets there are plenty of shops to browse and the 'Balcon de Europa' promenade provides stunning views of the ragged coastline and sea. This area comes to life in the evening when pavement entertainers and street dancers perform.
For the energetic, the villa has maps and over 100 walk guide leaflets covering the local footpaths and beyond in to the mountains and villages of the Sierra Almijara National Park.
There is a regular bus service running from Malaga to Nerja and from Nerja to Frigiliana. Taxis are plentiful but car hire is recommended to take full advantage of the area.
