This is my fifth time at Casa Ladera and it never fails to please, very relaxing. Weather good in April (20 - 22°C) with a few clouds. Spent most of the time at the villa enjoying the views and the pool.

Family Robinson, April 2010

Just had a wonderful meal on the terrace again, now playing yes no game. The sun has dipped below the hills and we are listening to Coast FM - Bliss!!! This is our 3rd visit and we love it here. Don't stray too far as everything you need is here. Exotic smells of jasmine, distant bells of goats - lovely lovely. See you again.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. We have enjoyed ourselves immensely. Casa Ladera was everything we hoped it would be. We have spent a great deal of time here at the villa. Lazy days with lots of sun just relaxing by the pool, eating and drinking on the terrace doing nothing much other than charging the batteries. Granada, Nerja, Malaga, Frigiliana and Seville were all fine but the best times we undoubtedly spent here. Thank You.

Oyvind Family, July 2010

We had high hopes after seeing the website and receiving your friendly letter but the villa surpassed them. We have been to the area before but still enjoyed the trips to Frigiliana and Nerja. We enjoyed lots of simple things, trying to spot the braying donkey on the hillside. Trying to take a picture of butterflies with their wings open or catch a shot of the big bee that looks like a small humming bird. I am sure we will be back and next time come for a bit longer and force ourselves away from the scorching sunbeds, the warm pool and the beautiful view to venture further and visit some of the places others have recommended.

I have my own cleaning company and cannot fault the villa. Great to have cleaning materials to keep the villa clean during the holiday. Very helpful instructions for all the kitchen appliances, how great to have a dishwasher, home from home. Good quality towels and bedding. Been to many other villas and Casa Ladera far the best. Matching china and glasses and for the first time a tea pot. One small thing, a butter dish and possibly another umbrella outside.

Wiseman Family, August 2010

Some stunning views, a relaxing time filled with sun. The pictures on the computer were great but it was even better close up. The weather was great and unlike England I didn't say I was cold once. I saw lizards, one or two snakes and some mountain goats. Thanks for a lovely time Ben (9), Lizzie (6), Louise and Grant.

Hamilton Family, August 2010

Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely villa. It's been lovely tucked up in the hills, very peaceful, lovely to hear the goats.

Hall's, September 2010

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your house Casa Ladera. It really is a beautiful holiday house in the most spectacular location. It was really hard to leave at the end of the week. We hope to return one day if you'll have us.

Kyle Family - April 2011

Our second visit here, villa just as good as we remembered and track just as steep. Visited the Alhambra, an absolute must. This is a wonderful place to relax and recharge the batteries, back to work next week and even Lincolnshire seems chaotic after this place. Enjoyed good food in Nerja and Frigiliana and went back to Las Chinas. Will leave the valley to the eagles.

Davies Family - April 2011

To echo the thoughts of others, we thought the house was extremely well equipped and comfortable. Loved the rural location and all the local wildlife. We had rather a mixed week weather wise and so really appreciated the home comforts and then dashed outside to the beautiful garden when the sun shone. All in all a fantastic holiday which we wouldn't hesitate to reccomend to friends and family.

Brown Family - April 2011

Beautiful tranquil location. Villa well equipped and comfortable. Enjoyed the sights and sounds of the local wildlife. Frigiliana is a lovely village to stroll around with lots of nice restaurants. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

O Reilly Family - May 2011

Fantastic villa location, views fab. Villa itself very comfortable and well equipped. Weather has been lovely and hot although pool a bit chilly for one of us. Not ventured out very much but we know the area quite well. Lovely donkey on the hill at the top and visits from little ginger cat. Wildlife at villa is lovely. Swifts, frogs, lizards and praying mantis. Sad to be leaving but we are already planning to return next year.

Lindsey & Lee - May 2011

I would recommend your villa to friends and family. Location first class.

Blizzard Family - May 2011

Another wonderful week in a little piece of heaven !. Everything you could possibly need and more is here. There was a collective “sigh” when we arrived and we leave now somewhat unwillingly but restored, re-charged and relaxed. Excellent meals at Los Caracoles and do make the effort to visit Acebuchal, a gorgeous hamlet with an amazing restaurant.

Mitchell Family - June 2011

A really nice and well appointed villa in a beautiful setting, just the place for a chill out !!!. So peaceful here. I’m sat outside writing this. It’s 11:30am and 32˚ with not a cloud in sight. Looking around, it is just picture – postcard perfect !. Would definitely come back.

Wright Family - June 2011

Fantastic Villa, well equipped, views great, local wildlife kept us company for two weeks. Weather could not have been better, definitely a great find. Would love to return. Not been far, no need to, had a really relaxing time. Hope to return, even though the track quite scary.

Harrison Family - June 2011

We came here last year, had such a lovely holiday we came back and we were’nt disappointed. Weather has been so fabulous we have hardly moved from the villa. The views are fantastic and we just sit staring out at them for hours. We hope to come back.

Yule Family - July 2011

Second visit to the villa (after 7 years) Had a fantastic time. Enjoyed a lot of time just lying by the pool. Also went to Nerja Donkey Sanctuary and the Wolf Sanctuary near Antequera (11/2 hours)., well worth a visit. Enjoyed some great food in Frigiliana, our favourites were the restaurant in the church square and the “Garden Restaurant” view from the top of the village, but watch out for the “killer” donkey. Hope to come back in the future

Coles Family - July 2011

Fantastic Villa, 4th visit to the area. Spent most of the week by the pool just chilling !!!. Went to Burriana Beach but got sun burnt 40˚C !. Had a couple of bbq’s and watched the sunset, very beautiful. We over stocked on water and ice lollies so next visitors please feel free to use them. We would love to come back next year, a week is’nt long enough !!!

Snowdon Family - August 2011

Beautiful Villa, peaceful and tranquil, very relaxing and fantastic views that you never tire of !, Enjoyed good food in both Nerja and Frigiliana, especially the restaurant Pinocchio (Nerja) for great pizza and pasta dishes. Most of all we enjoyed relaxing by the pool and warm evenings on the terrace star gazing. Very reluctant to go home.

Dennerly Family - August 2011

Coming down scary track was not as bad this year (our second). Entering the villa was like putting on a favourite pair of slippers !, felt soooo good !. Had fab time, only left villa for food shopping & meals out. Everything we wanted was here. Sun, pool, relaxing time watching the donkey, horse, goats and birds. Sometimes watching cars go out across the valley !!. Fab meals, our fav is Antica Roma plus pizza restaurant in Nerja. High standard of villa, could not improve anything. Very clean and would come back again and again.

Wiseman Family - September 2011

Anton had set off from Bristol several days before the girls and I on his motorbike and had an adventure before meeting us at Malaga airport. Following him down the track at 00:30 am was hairy !!. I fell in love with Casa Ladera as soon as we arrived, all the comforts of staying at a best friend’s house only without them being there. So many little things like loo roll and tin foil make the stay nicer. The Ghost Village Acebuchal is well worth a scary mountain road trip. Antonio is very special and his wine is well, pale when you buy it and dark brown hours later !!!!. It is an interesting place with a great history. Thank you Kevin & Val, I think you have got the love and care for this house and it’s guests just right.

Mann Family - October 2011

Thanks again Val for another great week at Casa Ladera visiting all the old haunts that we love and never tire of. Thanks for switching the sun on and giving us perfect weather for lazing on sunbeds and even drinks and nibbles on the terrace one evening. All a great boost in November before heading back north for the winter.
